Hi, I'm Pranav 👋
I'm a Senior Software Engineer at AmuseLabs, where I work mostly on self-serve systems.
In practice, that means I look at workflows that require a lot of human involvement and try to remove that requirement. If something needs to be manually handled, reviewed, fixed, retried, or babysat - I'm usually interested in automating it.
I like building abstractions that remove friction; systems that behave predictably and don't need much hand-holding. Most of my work ends up being about putting the right structure in place so things run smoothly on their own. If someone can use what I've built without thinking about it, that's usually a good sign.
Outside of roadmap work, I tend to build small tools and automations for myself (and occasionally for others), usually because something annoyed me enough. I'm almost always looking for side projects to work on, so much so that it's become a bit of a running joke at work. Most of the time, it's just the same instinct: if something feels repetitive or messy, I'd rather fix it properly than work around it forever.
Outside of work, I play basketball (I'm a huge Warriors fan), spend time with my dog, and watch far more Minecraft speedrunning than I probably should.
